Site Name: THE ROCKET VIDEO BLOG
What is the main focus of your site (reviews, editorials, news, lists, etc.)?
Reviews, Rants, Op-eds, Ideas, whatever cinema noise pop into our heads.
We know movies and have access to a great library and want to pass on whatever film info we happen onto.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
We work at a little neighborhood video shop in Hollywood. Bottom line is we eat, sleep and (other biological functions…) movies.
Personally two things I like about other blogs and I think we also offer with ours are…
1) Hearing about flicks I may not have seen and but now will seek out.
2) Getting clued into other interesting articles on the web I may wanna read about movies.
We hope that our blog will continue to grow and find more of an audience, but it’s for love not riches.
We’d be doing it even if no was was clicking on to us. Unless… do dudes with cool blogs get more ladies?
Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
Love the interactive.
As we grow we are planning more ways for our readers to get involved.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
We just started it up in late December. And even with some vacations in there, we are averaging a new post a day (they are usually fairly involved articles).
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Mine (I hope they’ll represent some of our other poster’s as well):
Once Upon A Time In The West
Abbot & Costello Meet Frankenstein
and…. (so many)
How did you hear about the LAMB?
One of our readers sent us a link.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
One thing that has become popular among us, are articles about movies only available on VHS. Yep. Guess we’re the last of a kind… a dying breed.
I love movie blogs, and we wanna join the gang.
