[Editor’s Note: This site has not posted new content in over a year (as of 5/18/11) and is now considered a dead LAMB. A moment of silence please…]

Site Name: MovieZeal

What is the main focus of your site (reviews, editorials, news, lists, etc.)?
We love film to a fault, are passionate about it, and will talk to anyone willing to listen for hours on end about it. Our site is an outlet for that – we do reviews of current releases, reviews of classic films, release schedules for whats new on DVD and in the theater, and self-deprecating top ten lists.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
We’d love to use the blog as a springboard into paid writing positions, but we’re perfectly happy just churning out our thoughts to anyone who will listen.

Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
Community all the way. The more people who speak up and tell us we’re full of crap, the more interesting things get, and the more exciting blogging becomes. Of course we also accept unadulterated hero worship, but we’ll take a good flame when we can.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
We’ve only been blogging for a month, although we already have 60 posts. I guess that works out to around twice a day, although we’ll see if we can keep up that kind of output.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
1. Rear Window
2. Requiem for a Dream
3. The Rundown
(we’re quite eclectic)

How did you hear about the LAMB?
Through Daniel Johnson’s excellent Film Babble Blog.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
What is your biggest filmwatching pet peeve?
People who talk in theaters. I nearly got into a fight with a drunk guy who wouldn’t shut up during Open Range when I asked him nicely, I was cussed out repeatedly by teenage girls during Fracture, and I had to wander all the way across the theater – twice! – to wake up a dude who was snoring during a 70mm screening of Lawrence of Arabia (which, if you’ve never seen on the big screen, you’re missing out).
