Site Name: The Fantastic Adventures of Furious D
What is the main focus of your site (reviews, editorials, news, lists, etc.)?
I do editorials about pop culture, specifically movies and television, and the business behind them. I discuss things like how movie studios and TV networks are run, problems with the industry, and discuss solutions. I also do periodic movie reviews of films I find in DVD discount bins, talk about what makes comedy work or fail, and rant and rave about whatever pop-culture stuff has drawn my ire.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I’m just trying to inject some common sense in an inherently nonsensical part of our world.
Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
While I do tend to lecture, I fully welcome questions comments, and occasionally post games for readers to participate in. Things like caption contests, discussions of dream projects, and whatever comes up.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I set up the blog two years ago, but I really didn’t start seriously and regularly blogging until this year, inspired by the insanity of the WGA strike and annoyance at how poorly run the movie business really is.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
The Godfather, The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly, Psycho.
How did you hear about the LAMB?
I stumbled upon LAMB while visiting the Final Girl site and thought that LAMB was an excellent idea for people who blog about movies.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
