Site Name: Friend Mouse Speaks

What is the main focus of your site (reviews, editorials, news, lists, etc.)?
Movie reviews, book reviews, television recaps and reviews. The site began as a television recap site since I watch a lot of television and I have several friends who don’t, but still want to know what’s going on with their favorite shows. I branched out from the t.v. recaps because, dang, I watch a fair number of movies too.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I’d wanted to blog for quite some time but could never figure out what the theme should be; I also love to write and don’t get to do enough of it in my job. Friend Mouse Speaks has enabled me to satisfy the writing jones as well as justify the hours I log in front of my television set.

Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
Oh, I ain’t no teacher! I do like it when folks take the time to comment – means I’ve said something that someone connected with somehow. So, yeah, that’s a vote for “interactive community”-ness, I guess.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Tuesday, April 29th, will mark my one year anniversary – send presents! I try to post something every two to three days. (I confess that I was better about it before the writers’ strike discombobulated my television schedule.)

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Heathers, Snatch, Reservoir Dogs.

How did you hear about the LAMB?
I first saw it on Blog Cabins right when the LAMB got launched. Since then, Wayne (aka WaywardJam) at Reel Whore suggested that I join up.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
Three hours of raking the yard this afternoon have given me newfound appreciation for the bliss of movie-blogging: inside, sitting down, with a beer in one hand and the remote in the other. The outdoors is overrated!
