Site Name: Screaming Blue Reviews

What is the main focus of your site (reviews, editorials, news, lists, etc.)?
To provide reviews and features on movies, DVD, and television that aren’t informed by bandwagon thought or influenced by studio marketing. We feature reviews, present feature lists of “hidden treasures” (“forgotten” films and movie stars) and create imaginary sequels and alternate plotlines to various big-budget disappointments.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
To build a name for ourselves as writers and to offer the public a fresh voice in film criticism. We’re not film school aesthetes, but we’re not mouth breathers, either. And so far we’re completely non-profit.

Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I wish we had more comments and discussion, but so far comments have been slow to arrive. Still, on many of the features it’s cool to share something with the reader.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
We started in March of 2008; we update every Mon, Wed, and Fri but frequently more often than that.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Blade Runner, Out of the Past, Quiz Show.

How did you hear about the LAMB?
Read about it on another blog, but exactly which one escapes me at the moment.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
What’s the worst film you’ve seen in the last year?

The remake of 3:10 To Yuma.
