[Editor’s Note: This site has not posted new content in over a year (as of 5/18/11) and is now considered a dead LAMB. A moment of silence please…]
Site Name: Mantis Fists
Categories: News, Reviews, Movies, Books, Analysis/Editorials
What is the main focus of your site?
Mantis Fists is named after an old dusty kung fu movie—the focus is on readable, personal reviews of film, evaluating the art as it evolves and changes as well as lookin’ back at what’s been done.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
Mantis Fists itself isn’t in it for the $$$, but I as a blogger would like to make films and reviewing ‘em helps creatively.
Do you prefer an interactive ‘community’ for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
Interactivity is extremely encouraged, although of course there’s only so much interacting you can do with a review. Regardless, I would love for more people to write reviews for the website so it has a larger breadth of movie history and some different writing styles and perspectives.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I’ve had websites since I was younger and I love writing—this particular blog has been around pretty much since The Dark Knight though, like 2 months.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
A Clockwork Orange, Mantis Fists & Tiger Claws, The Birth of a Nation.
How did you hear about the LAMB?
