LAMB #473 - Lost in the Movies

[Editor's Note: This site's url is no longer functioning. A moment of silence please...]

URL: http://lostinthemovies.blogspot.com/
Site Name: Lost in the Movies
Categories: Reviews
Rating: PG-13

What is the main focus of your site?
Reviews of films in theaters & new to DVD.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
As I wrote in the intro to the site, "For the past two years, as I've focused on the classics in viewing and writing, I've seen a lot of great movies, but fallen out of touch with what's going on at the moment, for better or worse. On my end, hopefully this site will rectify that; on your end, hopefully I can bring you a new perspective and stimulate interesting discussion on new releases."

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Interactive - speak up!

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
This blog is brand new, and during the first few weeks I will post about 4-5 reviews a week. After that, probably a new release every Sunday and a new DVD every Wednesday.

While this blog has just started up, I've been running The Dancing Image since July 2008 (a LAMB member since August 2008!). I also maintain a blogging "hub" at The Sun's Not Yellow and write for Wonders in the Dark.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Keeping with the contemporary slant I'll name my favorite three of the past decade: Mulholland Dr., Lost in Translation, and Wall-E.

How did you hear about the LAMB?
Someone introduced me way back when, but I can't remember who!

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that's not listed above.
None.

  2. Thanks, TJMAC. I'm a two-time offender, having joined several years ago with my first blog (still active, but very intermittent). However, the approach of this one seemed so different that it was worth signing it up separately, I felt. Hope everyone enjoys it.
