As part of this year’s LAMMY ceremonies, I thought it only fitting that we take a moment to celebrate the LAMBs that have fallen over the years. Ideally, I’d only include those LAMBs that have “died” since last year’s LAMMYs, but a) I haven’t done one of these in the past, so why not celebrate them all and b) I don’t exactly know when all of these died. Next year, I’ll have to this to go off of, so I’ll know who has died since then.
Feel free to share your stories of these sites, fond memories, or funny anecdotes in the comments section. Without further ado, a moment of silence, please:

When are the nominations going to be announced?
Tomorrow!
we all know how were goin’ die baby… were gonna crash and burn…
sad for the fallen
And Marshall just blurts out what we’re all thinking!
Lots of these I didn’t read, mainly because I’m pressed for time and don’t read a lot of blogs. But Film Under Fire was a good blog when it was up, and I hated to see the entire site just disappear. I was sad to see Uranium Cafe go, but I believe he now has a Tumblr blog.
@Marshall: Tomorrow, homey. Fletch, this is freakin’ great, I wish had something deep and profound to say about at least one of these guys, but alas…
Oh, what the hell.
The Mexican DVD Review – my life is a void without your existence. You completed me, I will be wearing all black this week in your honor.
I love you, mi amor.
ahah cool post!
You know the real downside to this is that you know they’re all pretty much dead. Otherwise this would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to whip out the:
“I’m not dead yet!”
quote in an actual applying situation. *Cries* I suppose I shall have to wait for next year.
By the way the 400+’s that died, I feel a bit bad, we knew them far too little
Stacia (and Marshall) – ah, but if you were fans of the LAMB’s Facebook page, you’d already know this!
Aiden – awesome work. That cracked me up, and I’m sure it means a lot to the family and friends of The Mexican DVD Review.
Univarn – indeed, it would be quite the apropos time. But yeah, I think they’re just about all but done for. There are loads of sites that might as well be dead (haven’t posted in months or years), but I don’t count them unless the URL don’t work. So it could definitely work for them.
For some strange reason, it’s sad watching that list role by…I tip my forty in honor of these fallen warriors.
Fletch, I’m not snubbing LAMB on Facebook. I don’t use Facebook, and I wasn’t aware that I HAD to use Facebook to keep updated on LAMB events.
Stacia – Gotcha. Of course you don’t have to use Facebook or view the LAMB page there; the unveiling of the news there was just a perk for those that do. That news was also mentioned at the LAMB Forums, which are completely Facebook free.
You need to integrate Michael Jackson’s “Gone Too Soon” song into those rolling credits.
God Speed Dead LAMBS!
My site The Uranium Cafe has been alive and well and has continued to produce posts up to yesterday.
I will remove all LAMB banners then from my sidebar and no longer check this site for new LAMBs.
