Darn, thought I had a real shot at this one.
ReplyDeleteStill Fletch, you can say it all you want people know how much effort you put in, and are going to aptly vote for yah :). It's like telling the jury to ignore evidence. Once it's out there, we all know how it's going to go down :).
Besides, even if it's only for your blog, you earned it man. You put a lot of time, thought, effort, and years into it. And you've rightly made it one of the most fun blogs to read!
Also, congrats to The Movie Encyclopedia on getting 2nd! Another well deserved series of posts from someone who does so just as much as me :)

ReplyDeleteBut as Univarn said, it's well deserved. Between all the writing you do and all the podcasts you host/guest on, it's a wonder you have time to actually WATCH the films you write about!

Wow this is awesome. To be honest with you I really didn't care whether or not I won or lost. To be nominated in a pool of 500+ great sites is an honor in and of itself. The fact that people thought I was prolific at all, that Nick and I had an interesting podcast, or that I was a cool new LAMB was more than I'd ever ask for.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't beat yourself up Fletch. You do a lot. Between the LAMBcast, maintaining the LAMB forums, keeping up your own blog, keeping up the LAMB, life, work ect... you have a lot on your plate. I'm just a 19 year old college student with a love for movies and a lot of time on his hands.
And to lose by three votes I consider to be an honor. On top of that I am sandwiched between two of my favorite blogs. You know how much I love and follow Blog Cabins and while I haven't been very vocal about it I have been a huge fan of ALIE since it's inception.
So congrats to both of you and here's to next year =)
