If you’re going to embed the LAMBcast on your site…

A) You’re awesome.

B) Please don’t use the player that looks like this:

As I learned last week, that one counts a download every time someone visits your site, eating into our Podomatic account’s bandwidth limit, even if the
“Play” button is never clicked.

I know, it’s better looking than the square one. A shame. They said they’re planning on changing the way it streams in the future…

Thank you.

FYI: to embed the “correct” player, hover over the top-left corner of the player that can be found in the new episode posts (or permanently in the tabbed widget). The incorrect code is the one that’s found using Podomatic’s media player (which is accessed through the LAMBcast’s Podomatic page). Clear as mud, no?

  1. How would one go about embedding the correct Podcast device for the LAMBcast…if one were wanting to do so?

Very good question, and thank you. I’ll edit the post with your question and the answer.
