Site Name: Screen Addict
Categories: Reviews, General, Classic Film
What is the main focus of your site?
All manner of current, classic and cult cinema and the odd bit of moving image art. The rough premise is that I write about basically everything I watch, with the exception of (most) television.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t writing partly for my own ego and to show off my knowledge and get my own opinions and ideas out there, but the biggest motivation was a desire to use the written word to help me remember more about all the films I watch.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I haven’t promoted the site very much, as yet, so I haven’t had much interaction, but there are few things I enjoy more than getting into heated arguments on the internet. 😀
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I started Screen Addict in May 2009 and, with the exception of a couple of slack months when I had way too much work to do for a Masters degree, I usually update at least three or four times a week.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
I usually say I don’t do favourites, but when pressed for an answer, my favourite film is undoubtedly Francois Truffaut’s Les Quatre Cents Coups [The 400 Blows].
How did you hear about the LAMB?
I spotted a LAMMY award widget on http://fandangogroovers.wordpress.com/
