What is the main focus of your site?
Netflix has changed the way that audiences view movies by providing access to thousands of films from across the globe. Flix Journal takes a hard look at many of Netflix’s offerings in a way that most Netflix customers watch their movies, either through the instant queue or by the traditional mail service.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I just want to have fun with it, but eventually I would love to have my blog be a part of the tomatometer. Flix Journal is my chance to wax my knowledge of cinema with readers and interact with people who love film just as much as I do. I’d also like to go back to school for a graduate degree in critical film studies, but that’s far down the road.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Flix Journal is in the process of bringing additional bloggers into the fold. We love an interactive community that provides us with feedback. I also like making suggestions for films that are a little out of the mainstream.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Flix Journal has been active since late November 2010, so about six weeks now. We update daily.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
1. Seven Samurai
2. Total Recall
