It’s The End of the LAMB Chops As We Know It

by Jason Soto · May 22, 2011 · Bloody Chops, LAMB Chops · 7 Comments

So last week I go to check both the regular LAMB chops and the Bloody Chops emails, to prepare to get those posts ready and I find something rather disturbing…empty inboxes. And this was after I took a week off. I was taken back by this, then I was bummed, then I was upset, in that order.

I was upset cause I thought you guys liked the LAMB Chops and the Bloody Chops, but I guess that’s not the case anymore. I emailed Rachel telling her the news and we both came to agreement that both Chops will come to an end, if that’s what the people want. It was fun running both features but I guess it’s time to move on.

In the meantime, we are going to think of something to replace them. And as far as me and Rachel know, the Classic Chops are still going strong so this announcment does not affect that or Ivan in any way, so keep sending the Classic Chops to Ivan. So thanks to everyone who did participate in the past and here’s to a new feature!

I discovered your blog today only to realise that it is over… With the amount of followers you have, I find it pretty sad.

That’s a bummer. I tried to send stuff in here and there, but it’s all too easy to forget to do so. Appreciate the work you put into it, Jason, and I look forward to a new feature.

I’d just like to say I think Jason did an outstanding job keeping this going. Sad to see it go, but 100% stoked to see what Jason and Rachel can come up with!

yeah, gutted its going – but obviously for good reason. The LAMB is changing and thats good because with nearly 1000 blogs, it should be much more interactive and, clearly, the lack of chops sent it says something needs to change.

    Brilliant job though Jason!

If it helps (because the opinion of people who rarely comment, I know, mean so much to you), I stopped submitting things because it was increasingly awkward to submit yourself for linkage, or other people, for that matter.

However, it was nice having it on standby.

Well, we all know it’s been on life support for some time, so pulling the plug ain’t such a bad idea. Chalk me up as being curious and interested to see what ya come up with.

Thanks for the time and effort, Jason.

FWIW, I liked Lamb Chops and the extra boost of traffic it gave me. If I didn’t always submit something for a particular week, it was because I couldn’t decide which post to send. I’m sorry you felt you had to do this – especially when I had some recent posts that I was ready to submit!
