What is the main focus of your site?
Our blog covers Hollywood’s Golden Age movies (1930s, 40s, and 50s). We don’t focus on acknowledged classics (eg, Citizen Kane). Instead, our blog looks at movies that, while maybe not the most famous or fêted, are amongst our personal favorites–movies that we think have been overlooked, or that deserve a second look; that contain wonderful, quirky (or just plain weird) performances by favorite actors; and that posses a kind of energy, style, or even outrageousness that, whether a major studio release or a poverty-row effort, we think qualifies them as–well, as the blog title says: as Grand Old Movies.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
Hoping to become a published professional, and to reach a like audience of classic-movie fanatics.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
We like an interactive community; but we do like to analyze, inform, and entertain in our writing

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Started posting in December 2010 – usually post @ every 2 weeks.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Nightmare Alley
The Third Man
Bride of Frankenstein

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
We feel that history is important, that the past has something to give us, and that old movies give us a sense of who we are as a society.
