The LAMMYs are a jovial, fun time, right? Well, I hope you think so anyway, since we had a bit of a nutty crew on hand for the latest LAMBcast, in which we unveil the nominees in the 15 LAMMY categories. All I can say is, I’m pretty certain that this show – which featured Rachel, Jason, James, Kai and Dylan – set the record for number of edits made during post-production. In other words, that means that we had way too good a time making it, which led to me having way too bad a time cleaning it up. But it’s a once-a-year party – it’s worth it, right?
Thanks again go out to all of the voters, and especially to Rachel for all the hard work she did this year. And CONGRATULATIONS to all of the nominees! Rachel will have the Official LAMMY Nominations posted here on Monday. Good luck!
Oh, and per Jason, here’s James’s Honorary Award:
* Rants of the Week
* Raves of the Week (new!)
* Last LAMB Standing
If you’re interested, you too can be a LAMBcaster – we love new blood! For more information on the LAMBcast, check out the topic at the LAMB Forums. Music provided royalty-free by Kevin MacLeod’s Incompetech website. Big thanks to Kevin for providing this service. The LAMBcast loves feedback, too. Either here in the comments section or to blogcabins@yahoo.com or to our Facebook page. Also, we’re on iTunes, and would still love a review, even if it’s a bad one.
Thanks for listening!

Would that I could have voted… OK, I can wait a year!
Hey, congratulations to all the nominees for LAMMY 2011, you all deserve it.
…even though it would appear that, seeing that I advertised myself all over the place, I got not one nomination at all…guess I didn’t kiss-up enough.
Seriously, good luck, nominees!

There were a few blogs I was a sad not to hear called out for a nomination, but I’d be blown away if they came up empty next year. Lots of great blogs joined the LAMB this year, and I imagine equally so for next year.
In all honesty, when I heard my blog’s name for Best Design my head did a full Linda Blair with coinciding “Say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?” high pitch squeal. I feel a bit like an ant amongst giants in that room. However, I’m so unbelievably appreciative to have received each and every one of the nominations I got this year. It means an indescribable amount to me, and I will spend the next 12 hours or so in the corner bawling tears of joy.
Good job, Uni! Proud of ya!

Is there a place where the nominees are written down? I can’t seem to find a written list. Congrats to all the nominees in advance!
Wow I am super surprised to be nominated for things! That is so cool! There are so many excellent blogs nominated for everything I’m already agonizing over what my votes will be.
Also you lambcasters are all really cute.
To borrow a line from James Cagney in Yankee Doodle Dandy: “My mother thanks you, my father thanks you, my sister thanks you, and I thank you.” A most appreciative high-five to everyone who cast a vote in favor of my nomination, and generous congrats not only to my fellow nominees but the entire nominated contingent as well.
Congratulations on the nominations, everyone.
Could we have a list of the nominees posted on the website? I’m sure not everyone can listen to the podcast.
The full list will posted, but we like for the LAMBcast to get some love first.
“thanks to simon for getting loads of votes in” … but alas, none of theme were for me!!!
Again. Must… get … better … at … blogging …
@ Simon… “Film Locker 2012!!”
To piggyback off of Rachel’s comment – it states in the post that the full list will be posted on Monday.
Kudos to all the nominees, tears for those that couldn’t quite make it. I, too, know of several sites/podcasts/etc that warranted noms that came up short. As they say in Galaxy Quest, “Never give up! Never surrender!” Rachel and I have discussed upping the nominations voted on to five per blog (yes, five are handed out per category, but perhaps spreading the love out during the nom process will assist with, well, spreading the love overall).
And to think, next year there could be 1300+ LAMBs. Wowza.
What the hell, why wasn’t Born on the Fourth of July one of the Lammy Nominations?
Kidding. Congrats to everyone for the nominations! And thanks Fletch for the shoutout! I’m honored to be your first rave! The rave idea is way badass, I’m looking forward to hearing more of them.
Very much enjoyed this episode, and now have a list of blogs to check out too. Thanks guys you kept me company on my rather dull walk this evening.
