What is the main focus of your site?
My main focus is movies I would recommend to others. Among family, friends, and co-workers I was “the movie guy.” I was always making recommendations for people and they were usually positive. Many of them would say, “You should start a blog.” I finally did in order to share recommendations with a larger audience. I don’t post reviews for movies that I feel are not that good. My ratings are 3 stars – give it a try; 4 stars – highly recommended; and 5 stars – must see.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I like making connections among movies that are not usually thought of together. To do this I skip the usual comedy, drama, etc. labels and instead have categories that join such movies as Dirty Harry and Kung Fu Panda, Sunset Boulevard and Sin City, or This is Spinal Tap and Bubba Ho-Tep. I am doing it for the same reason I always used to give people tips on something they might like – because they might get enjoyment from a movie they would not have otherwise seen.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Interactive. Let me know why you liked or did not like something I recommended. No spoilers in the comments, please, unless you absolutely have to in order to make your point. In that case, please put a spoiler warning in front of it.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I started it at the beginning of 2011. I post on average two days a week, with multiple posts on those days. It works out to a little less than one post per day, some on topics other than movies, since I started the site.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
The Princess Bride for fun, Lawrence of Arabia for drama, and when I was a kid it was The Parent Trap (1961).

How did you hear about the LAMB?
My latest Follower (RATA RockStar) had it as one of the other blogs he followed.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
My basic philosophy is that there are far too many movie critics out there and nowhere near enough movie reviewers. I am not here to trash movies, to work the titles into insults, to tell you why I’m smarter than the director, writer, producer, etc. I’m here to tell you a little bit about the movie and why you should consider seeing it.
