Hello, all. Steve from 1001plus here. Based on the last edition, it looks like Foreign Chops is here to stay, so I decided to make the next one a little more challenging. This time, we’re going to take a look at Ealing Studios, the longest continually running British film studio. While Ealing is back under its own name, it’s heyday as an independent producer ran from 1930 to 1959, so these are the years we’re looking at. For a complete list of Ealing films of this period, check here.
Foreign Chops publishes on the first Thursday of every month, this time on July 5. That’s right, Yanks. The day after Independence Day, we celebrate one of the great British film houses. Send links to your reviews to sjhoneywell@comcast.net by 6:00 pm, July 3, CST. As always, I’m happy to take suggestions for future editions of Foreign Chops, so send in your ideas along with your links.

Missed out on this one, unfortunately.
And as for future suggestions, how about Italian neorealism? And you just have to do a Bergman edition eventually!
I was thinking Italian neorealism would be a good one too.
Don’t forget to put the “Foreign Chops” label on your posts. It helps a lot when browsing through the previous editions.
A great topic. But the deadline for submission of links must be incorrect. What is the actual deadline?
@Squasher–sorry. I was sort of on the run when I posted this and forgot.
@R.D.–yeah. Oops. July 3rd is the deadline (and I’ve updated the post).
Fantastic topic, but do you have to be a LAMB member to contribute? (Just found the site
