Classic_ChopsNow that the Lammys are behind us, it’s time to restart an old favorite here at The LAMB…Classic Chops!

Greetings, my name is Todd and I run the blog Forgotten Films. I am all about trying to bring older films back to the public eye, so I am looking forward to seeing the LAMB community explore the realm of classic cinema. Thanks to the Shepherd for giving me the chance to take charge of this feature!

Our definition of “classic films” is going to be pretty much anything released before 1970. I must admit, making that the cutoff date makes me feel especially old, but as time goes on, this is a date we must continue to alter.

For our first installment, I have turned to the artists who first got me interested in classic film when I was a child…classic comedians. I’m talking about performers like Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd, Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle, The Marx Brothers, The Three Stooges, Our Gang, and many others. We’re looking for your reviews of their films (shorts or features), or maybe even an article on the career of a classic movie comedian or comedy team. You have two weeks to submit your posts. Send your submissions to classicchops@gmail.com by Midnight June 2, 2013.

I look forward to seeing your submissions…so go watch some old movies!
