What is the main focus of your site? Oscarology tracks awards season all year long. Oscarology explores the science behind the Oscar race, and provides analysis of awards season campaigns, precursor awards, critics groups awards, and more. Oscarology also features reviews of award worthy films and the most celebrated films of the past (I haven’t posted any classic film reviews yet, but I intend to).
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? My goal is to become a full-time blogger and/or freelance writer. Currently, this is only a hobby for me, but I am working towards making it a career. My short term goal is to move my blog from Blogger onto www.oscarology.com and build it into a fully functioning website. I currently own the domain, but have not built the site.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? I love to interact with readers! I have not received very many blog comments, but I enjoy discussing films with my Twitter followers and Facebook fans.
How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.) Oscarology was founded in January 2012. I post about once a week. During Oscar season, I post 2-3 times per week. I also post regularly on my Facebook and Twitter pages as well.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more). 1. Casablanca
2. Chinatown
3. Vertigo
Name a movie you hate!! Van Helsing
How did hear about the LAMB? If it was a LAMB, do you recall which one? Twitter
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above. (optional) My mission statement comes courtesy of Brad Bird: “I love all the arts, but I love movies most because they combine so many of them.”
