What is the main focus of your site? Reviews of theatrical releases, as well as various lists, articles and extended essays. The essays are to present a unique analysis of certain films, whereas the lists are more casual.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? One of the main reasons I started this blog was to connect with other ciniphiles, and joining the LAMB would help that.
From a professional point of view (although it is not a professional blog), I’ve always wanted to work in film in any capacity, and I feel like an independently run blog could be a way of showing knowledge of film necessary for working in film journalism.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? An interactive community appeals to me more, especially with a medium like cinema where there are so many points of views and interpretations available. To treat one as a ‘lesson’ the way a teacher might, in my opinion, does not respect the readers, or the films.
How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.) The blog has been active since last June (around the time ‘Prometheus’ was released). The frequency of updates can vary based on school commitments, but I try to review every new theatrical release I see, and have a feature that, should time permit, I would like to update every week.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more). Eraserhead, The Godfather and Persona
Name a movie you hate!! Sideways
How did hear about the LAMB? If it was a LAMB, do you recall which one? Alex Withrow – andsoitbegins.com
