LAMBCAST #236 MOVIES FROM OUR BIRTH YEARS

by Jay Cluitt · September 20, 2014 · LAMBcast, Podcasts · 1 Comment

It’d time for another Top 5 List, but instead of the usual Roll Your Own method (wherein everyone does a completely differently themed list) this time we’re all taking the same idea – movies released in the year we were born. Fortunately, everyone on the show was born in a different year, so prepare to hear us tackle a great deal of movies from every genre imaginable.

Host and baby of the group Jay Cluitt was joined by the comparatively ancient Dan Heaton, Joel Burman, Bubbawheat and newcomer Will Kouf to work out who amongst them had the greatest cinematic birth year, ascertain whether Jay has actually seen any films or not, and see just what movies Joel thinks are worse than Jaws 2. Also on hand are the rants and raves of the week, and a game of Last Lamb Standing.

The show can be found, of course, via iTunes – just do a search for “LAMBcast.” Also, I always post a link to the show on the LAMBcast’s Facebook page, and there’s a player there if you’d like to listen online. After listening to the podcast, I had to research 1972! Good thing I wasn’t trying to find a top 5 because I’ve hardly seen anything from that year – well, anything I liked – disliked Silent Running! And yes, I’m ashamed to say I still haven’t watched The Godfather! I can’t even find 5 films I liked from that year! This is about it…. Deliverance, The Way of the Dragon, and Ben (only because it convinced my mum to let me have a pet rat! Which I had to call…. Ben.)
