All month long we’ve been saying here at the Lambcast that we’re celebrating Halloween, and so far you’d be forgiven for saying “Well, not really.” After all, other than some vaguely horror-themed games of Last Lamb Standing, our Horror-special Movie of the Month was more of a psychological thriller, and last week’s new movie Gone Girl was definitely more of a mystery drama than anything else.

Well, now we’re making up for it with an all-out Horror Movie draft. Regular host and self-confessed horror pussy Jay declined to take part in fear of screaming like a little girl and spontaneously wetting himself, but fortunately his co-host Robert Zerbe was on hand to take over instead. Joining Robert in their quests to build the greatest team of horror movies is Todd Liebenow, Kristen Lopez, Bubbawheat and Daniel Lackey. The teams these guys picked will be up on the LAMB site for voting in a matter of days, to give you a chance to listen to the show first. Once that’s done, make sure you come back and vote!

Also on hand were a couple more games of Last Lamb Standing. Strap yourselves in, it’s a show of epic length with a lot of movies discussed, and don’t expect all the picks to be obvious ones. I’d also like to mention that the above image, which I love by the way, was originally created by Colin Mayne Illustration.

The show can be found, of course, via iTunes – just do a search for “LAMBcast.” Also, I always post a link to the show on the LAMBcast’s Facebook page, and there’s a player there if you’d like to listen online. The direct RSS feed is:  Shows will eventually make their way to the LAMBcast Archives. If you’d ever like to catch up on back episodes, go there. If you’re interested, you too can be a LAMBcaster – we love new blood! For more information on the LAMBcast, check out the topic at the LAMB Forums. Music provided royalty-free by Kevin MacLeod’s Incompetech website. Big thanks to Kevin for providing this service. Opening song by Cake. The LAMBcast loves feedback, too – if you’d like yours read on a future show, leave it in the comments section at the LAMB. Please visit and like our Facebook page, and finally, we’re on iTunes, and would still love a review, even if it’s a bad one. Thanks for listening!

Great episode I enjoyed hearing everyone’s picks. Glad to see Bubbawheat chose a Tale of Two Sisters(remake was The Univited) and Lackey chose Let The Right one In. The remake of it was good and it has elements that were in the book that wasn’t in the orignal and for a remake it wasn’t that bad. I’m sorry Kristen but Rocky Horror Picture show is not a horror movie. It’s a musical with Goth elements. It doesnt make it a horror movie. I dont think anyone gets killed. Same thing goes for Beetlejuice. It’s a good one but I would not consider that to be a horror movie

It does have that one scare with the half-eaten Eddie under the table, and both Rocky and Frank-n-Furter die at the end. Both movies are horror-lite, but they’re still horror.
