The latest Movie of the Month has been decided upon!

LAMBMOTM18

An eclectic range of seven movies were submitted for the latest Movie of the Month, ranging from modern horror to British crime, via whatever the heck Copycat is. It was a real nail biter, resulting in a near-three-way-tie, but this month’s winner proved that perseverance pays off, as it’s been submitted with less success several times in the past, but this time around it won. That’s right, the next Movie of the Month is… Grosse Pointe Blank.

Grosse

Congratulations go to David Brook of Blueprint: Review, who in winning the poll gets a spot on the upcoming Lambcast show devoted to the movie.  There’s still an open Wild Card slot on that show (recording date Sunday July 5th, 9am Pacific), so if you want to discuss all things Cusack, drop me a line and maybe you too can be on the show!

As always, when that Lambcast is posted, any reviews the rest of the LAMB wishes to write about the film in question will be posted too. Please send in any submissions – new or old – to jaycluitt(at)hotmail.com by Monday 6th July. That day will also see the next poll go up, so if you would like to champion a film for July’s MOTM, be sure to get in touch as well.

Here are the results of this month’s poll:

Blueprint: Review will be ineligible to become a Champion for the next three months. Journeys in Classic Film is ineligible for two more months. The Vern’s Video Vortex has one month of ineligibility left. Exploding Helicopter becomes eligible next month.
