| What is the main focus of your site? | We at MFF know we can’t compete with larger websites so we strive to publish interesting and random posts. We want to give the readers something different. We cover incredibly non-mainstream horror films, cult classics or research movie poster explosions. An example of researched randomness is that I recently discovered how you can gauge whether a Jason Statham film will be good or not via the movie poster. We want people to associate our site with a unique voice and creative material. |
| What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? | I want to develop my voice and share my love of movies with a larger audience. I want to continually build an audience and become respected in the blogging community. I love how the blog is growing and I want to continue to bring readers something unique and random. |
| Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? | I love sharing my appreciation of cinema. If that takes engaging in interactive discussions or teaching the readers that the troll from Ernest Scared Stupid is the scariest thing ever I will do it. I enjoy the Facebook and Twitter discussions I’ve had and I’ve learned a lot about what audiences love. I also want the readers to learn new things about old cinema. I love learning new facts about Deep Blue Sea and I want the readers to leave MFF picking up some new knowledge. |
