What is the main focus of your site? I, along with my review partner Chris Dobson, discuss camp, B, genre, and otherwise bad movies.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? One takes the good with the bad, and often the sillier cinema is dismissed by film enthusiasts and academics or relegated to the most untalented and least analytical fan boy critics. As a teaching tool, bad film can be just as useful as the good, and to simply ignore or marginalize the other side of the same coin is to miss out on a useful and entertaining cinematic focus.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? We encourage comments and suggestions from everyone. Bad movies are a very unpretentious subject and we enjoy opinions of all sorts.
How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.) Your Stupid Minds began in April 2009 as a review repository for bad movies. We now have 76 written reviews, 16 podcast episodes, and 50 other posts dedicated to news and opinions of bad film. We posted a written review a week but now assume a podcast schedule of one episode every two weeks, with a few news items peppered in between. [As of December 2012]
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more). Since we run a bad movie website I will name three of my favorite bad films:
The Room
Barbarella
Omega Cop
Name a movie you hate!! Lucky Number Slevin
How did hear about the LAMB? If it was a LAMB, do you recall which one? I was searching around Blogger years ago for other people who talk about film. I wanted to submit Your Stupid Minds at the time but felt we had not posted enough to warrant inclusion. The website is now extremely robust with insightful and funny reviews and I’m extremely proud of our work.
