What is the main focus of your site? Film reviews, both current and classic. Horror and science-fiction focus for the most part (I have another blog that focuses solely on animation), and I am crazy about monsters, though I will talk about any genre or topic that interests me. Still, there is a nostalgic through line that connects all of my interests together, and this is another focus of the site.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog? I am a freelance editor and writer by trade, and my various blogs are a way for me to discuss topics that I don’t get to otherwise discuss professionally. I would hope to get a chance to write about film and animation professionally.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students? I would prefer a far more interactive discourse between my readers and myself, but it seems to be the other way most of the time. I get a lot of visitors to my site, but it is hard to get them to comment, whether it be positive or negative.
How long has this site been active for, and how frequently do you post updates to your site? (Note: sites must be active for at least three months for entry to the LAMB.) I started The Cinema 4 Pylon site 11 years ago (2005) and was a member of LAMB for a good while. But I had a lot of medical issues the past few years and stopped blogging completely for a couple of those years. After some starts and stops, I started blogging again full-time last September in 2015. I try to post at least once or twice a week, sometimes even more, sometimes less depending on how busy I am on the other blogs.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more). King Kong (1933)
Duck Soup
The Seven Samurai
Name a movie you hate!! Batman & Robin
How did hear about the LAMB? If it was a LAMB, do you recall which one? That was so long ago when I first joined. It may have been on Twitter. I meant to rejoin a few months ago, but forgot that I needed to build up a few new months of blogging consistently before I could.
What is your obsession with King Kong? Simply put, the 1933 original is my favorite film of all time, since I first saw it around the age of 10. Never get tired of it, and yeah, I write about it a lot in a regular series.
