The latest Movie of the Month has been decided upon!
Once again it’s proved that attempting to predict the Movie of the Month winner can be far from reliable as a group of movies including some established classics and topical films instead provides us with a decidedly under-seen flick in the form of… Streets of Fire.
Congratulations go to first time submitter and first time winner Richard Kirkham of Kirkham A Movie A Day for championing Streets of Fire to the finish line. In winning the poll he gets the chance to host the upcoming Lambcast devoted to the film.
As always, when that Lambcast show is posted, any reviews the rest of the LAMB wishes to write about the film in question will be posted too. Please send in any submissions – new or old – to jaycluitt(at)hotmail.com by Monday 15th August. Around that day will also see the next poll go up, so if you would like to champion the Movie of the Month for August, get in touch.
Here are the results of this month’s poll:
Kirkham A Movie A Day will be ineligible to champion a MOTM contender for the next three months. Life Vs Film still has two months of ineligibility left. The Madlab Post will be ineligible for one more month. Forgotten Films is now eligible again.
