Lambscores: The American Handmaiden’s Violent Moonlight Inferno

by Jay Cluitt · November 18, 2016 · Featured, LAMBscores · No Comments

The Lambscores leaderboard is being shaken up this week, with a flurry of smaller movies achieving enough reviews to be deemed worthy of collating. Two of the highest ranking films from the year – 10 Cloverfield Lane and The Lobster – have been knocked off the list by two other newcomers, Moonlight and The Handmaiden, meaning instead of having seen six of our Top 10, I’ve now only gotten around to four of them. Darn. Anyway, here’s what the LAMB community had to say about Moonlight, The Handmaiden, American Honey, In A Valley of Violence and the one-of-these-things-is-not-like-the-others of this week, Inferno.

If you want to get involved, here’s how LAMBScores work: Over in the LAMB Forums there’s a sub-board  called LAMBScores. If you’ve written a review or recorded a podcast on a new release, find (or create) the thread there, and leave a link to your review, along with your site name and a score out of 5. Three weeks after the film has received a wide release the reviews will be collated and posted here, as long as there are at least five.
