The MCU is cruising into Phase Four with new heroes to fill their stories. This week we get a bushel basket full of characters to add to the list of players in the Marvel Films. Academy Award Winning Director Chloé Zhao takes the chair and also writes the script for this new band of super powered personnel.
Thena, Sersi, Ikaris, Gilgamesh and the rest are not the only ones who come out swinging however, our own heavyweight team of Jeffrey Lyles, Jeanette Ward, Howard Casner and Richard have a few punches of their own to throw, mostly at the script, of this highly anticipated adventure. There is speculation over whether a Disney + series might have been a better choice to make when introducing so many figures that will be pivotal to the future of the MCU.
We wonder what power every character’s golden swirly thing will produce, and why evolution can occur with some characters and not with others. We hold off on spoiler territory for half the show but we do wander into mythology and morality to pass the time until we get to the “plot” twists. For instance, why do the accents of the Eternal vary when they all originate from the same place? We’re just wondering.
Maybe Bruce Banner can’t kill himself, but it looks like suicide is painless for at least one hero in the MCU. Is it a bad sign when the most exciting elements of your film are the mid-credit and post credit sequences? You get to decide when you listen to the Lambcast this week.
