Vote for January 2022’s Movie of the Month!

2021 is almost over, and before everyone starts thinking about their best-of-2021 lists, we need to decide the first Movie of the Month for 2022! If you’re new to this feature, every month LAMB members submit films they wan to win, there’s a poll to vote on and the winning film gets an episode of the Lambcast dedicated to it, which the film’s champion is a part of. As it’s a new year all the previous exclusions have been reset, so anyone can champion a film again! 2022 will be much like 2021, with theme months every other month (February – Richard’s choice, April – Franchise special, June – Female director, August – Non-English language film, October – Horror, December – Holiday) but the months in between are theme-less, and anything goes! That incudes January, for which there are five very different films. The poll is at the bottom of the post, but first here are the nominees:

Only Angels Have Wings (1939) [James Wilson, Blogging by Cinema-Light]

Serial Mom (1994) [Sean Homrig, 1001 Movies Podcast]

Dragonheart (1996) [Emily Slade, Why This Film Podcast]

The American Astronaut (2001) [Howard Casner, Pop Art]

Josie and the Pussycats (2001) [Todd Liebenow, Forgotten Films]

Vote for the movie you want to win here! The poll will close on Sunday 2nd January, it’s going to end on this date, dammit.
