Happy New Year LAMBs! New calendars have been opened, watch dials have rotated another number and all our Letterboxd film tracking accounts have been reset for another year, so it must be time to announce the first Movie of the Month of our latest tour around the Sun. There has been a track record in the past that January’s winner is often, shall we say, not very good? That’s not always been the case, but I’d venture more often than not. Whether that’s true of 2022 I cannot yet say, as the winner is a film I’ve not yet seen, but for January of this year we’ll be talking about… Dragonheart!
