It’s Movie of the Month announcement time! For February we let Richard, the host of the Lambcast, make all the choices, because he has to endure the other winners for the rest of the year, and this time around he picked, shocking no-one, a bunch of films from the 1950s, 60s and 70s. The next Movie of the Month is for February, which is the Lambcast host Richard’s birthday month. All year long he endures the films submitted by other LAMB members, but now it’s his turn to make the selections. While it is still possible that 2021 could go even further south than it’s predecessor, we at the LAMB look around and see signs of hope. After all, there is a vaccine now available and…well at least we have that. Also, “The Red Shoes” finally will move off of your monthly ballot for Movie of the Month because it won. 2021 is almost upon us, and with this new beginning comes another year of movie of the month winners. It therefore seems apt to begin the year with a first-time winner. Of the eight films submitted, as always there is only one winner, so for January we’ll be looking at the 1948 Powell & Pressburger classic, The Red Shoes!
