What is the main focus of your site?
The Naysayer explores off-beat, undiscovered and unpopular pop culture. From VHS cover art, to so-bad-they’re-good movies, to the just-plain-awful.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I hope to explore the types of film that often get ignored or easily dismissed as junk. If I stumble upon an undiscovered gem while sifting through the garbage, I try to treat it as seriously and fairly as I would a more recognized classic. For the truly bad movies, I try to retain a sense of humor while also figuring out why they don’t work; I don’t want to merely ridicule. I hope my writing is thoughtful, serious and funny at the same time. Above all, my goal is to be openminded, to be receptive to the good and bad wherever I may find it.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I really hope to have an interactive community on my blog. I’d love my readers to share recommendations, opinions, thoughts etc. I want to discover new films together and new ways of looking at film.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
The Naysayer has been active for a little over three months. I try to update at least once a week. I’d like to update more often, but I try to make each post as in-depth as possible. I don’t want to simply post a youtube clip and call it a day. I try to take each post, each idea as far as possible.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
The American Astronaut
MST3K: Laserblast
Children of Men

How did you hear about the LAMB?
Many of the movie blogs I read are LAMB members, but I believe the first one I noticed to be a member was Rupert Pupkin Speaks.
