Rating: PG-13

What is the main focus of your site?
To discuss and critique older and forgotten films, mostly (but not exclusively) from the 1960s through the late 1980s. Most popular genres include foreign (if that’s actually a genre, as netflix claims it is), horror, thriller, drama. Lists are also posted, mostly for fun and to get conversation started.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I am a senior at Susquehanna University where I study English literature and film. At the advice of a professor I started this blog as a way to practice my analytical writing with less restriction than I’d get in class. I am unsure as to whether I want to pursue literature/writing or film in grad school next year but this blog helps me keep my writing sharp and helps me practice for either study.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Some posts are more for me to inform readers of films they may not know about and give my own views on film using my knowledge and education of film, something many bloggers who only began analyzing film later in life seem to lack. However, I would love to get more comments and feedback from viewers on posts that go against the grain or give a list; seeing the views and tastes of others who share a passion for film is always welcome and helps promote a healthier blog, I think

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
This is going into my fourth month. I took a half-month off because my father lost his job and I was hospitalized, so blogging naturally fell to the waist-side for a few weeks, but since then I’ve been maintaining my initial goal of one serious post every Friday with occasional “fun” ones in between.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Vertigo, The Maltese Falcon, Jaws

How did you hear about the LAMB?
A professor at my school who is consistently listed on your “leader” board told me about it but thought my blog needed a lot of improvement. I think the LAMB can help me.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
The owls are not what they seem.
