LAMB #1234 – Tommy D Talks Movies

by Shep. Burman · March 12, 2012 · New LAMB · 1 Comment

Site Name: Tommy D Talks Movies
Categories: Reviews, General, News
Rating: PG-13
What is the main focus of your site?
I talk about anything to do with movies. The site focuses largely on reviews, but also occasionally delves into more in-depth discussions of interpretations and meanings of certain films. The site also discusses a few noteworthy news items from time to time, and discusses awards and cinema in general.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I use my blog as an outlet for my passion for cinema. That’s why I started it. In that sense, my main reasons for creating it are because I enjoy writing and I enjoy talking about movies. That said, now that I have it going, I want to pick up more steady readership, because when people start reading and commenting, things become even more fun.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I welcome an interactive community.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
This blog has been active since mid-July of 2011.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more):
The Shawshank Redemption, Requiem for a Dream, Se7en
How did you hear about the LAMB?
I saw a link for it on another blogger’s site (Dan The Man’s Movie Reviews at dtmmr.wordpress.com). It said that that blog had been nominated for one 2011 LAMMY.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above:
“Who are your favorite modern-day directors?”

My answer: Darren Aronofsky and David Fincher
