LAMB #1238 – The Timothy Carey Experience

by Shep. Burman · March 16, 2012 · New LAMB · 3 Comments

Site Name: The Timothy Carey Experience
Categories: Classic Film, Timothy Carey
What is the main focus of your site?
My site is devoted to the life and films of actor and director Timothy Carey (1929-1994).
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I am writing a book on Carey, so one of the purposes of the blog is to help me organize the info I’m gathering on him for the book. Also, he has quite a cult fan following, and I want to help get more information about him and his films out to his fans.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I very much prefer an interactive community! I love getting comments and feedback, and hearing from other TC fans. There is also a forum attached to the blog (not very active at the moment).

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
The blog has been up since May of 2011. I update it every day, sometimes taking Saturdays off. I post a screen cap from one of his films each day, a Video of the Week on Wednesdays, and a Quote of the Week on Sundays.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more):
The Killing (1956), Paths of Glory (1957), The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976)
How did you hear about the LAMB?
It was on the blogroll of one of the blogs on MY blogroll, the name of which escapes me at the moment…

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that’s not listed above.
I just hope that you find my labor of love worthy enough to be a part of such an awesome thing as the Large Association of Movie Blogs! Thank you!
