There are three important rules you must heed before listening to this podcast. Don’t listen to it in bright light, and sunlight will kill it. Don’t get it wet (that’s just good advice for electronics in general). And finally, don’t listen to it after midnight. The Lambcast takes no responsibility for any listeners failing to heed these rules.
The Gremlins show has been a long time coming, since August 2014 in fact, when it was discussed on the 1984 Movie Draft. Well now it’s here for you enjoyment as Jay Cluitt, Gremlins champion Todd Liebenow, Nick Rehak, Jess Manzo and newcomer Mario Brown ran amok amongst the critters in both the first film and it’s far zanier sequel, Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Are they more festive than last year’s pick of Die Hard 2? Can a father’s death be deemed comical? How many Breaking Bad cast members took part? Listen to find out!
Also on tap: Rants and Raves of the week and a couple of barely-connected games of Last Lamb Standing.
Here’s what the rest of the LAMB had to say about Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch:
It’s also time to vote on next month’s movie! I put out the call for MOTM Champions, and the responders are below. The gist is this: I ask for volunteers – people to select a film to be placed on the poll, then promote it on their site, Facebook, Twitter, whatever. Should their film win, they are guaranteed a spot on the LAMBcast episode where we will discuss said film. As a bonus (?), if they want they also get to host that segment of the show. The sites are listed along with the films in the poll below (and in the sidebar). You have one week to vote (and promote your movies!). I’ll be putting out the call for the next MOTM in a few weeks, so stay tuned.
